I have barbie clothes for my Obitsu (it's mainly what she wore until I made her outfits) and they fit like a glove depending on the generation. The Fashionista ones will fit great and with a little coaxing the shoes can fit.

But I mostly make 'em.

The clothes from clear lan will most likely fit, sine Momoko is close in size to Barbie. you might also try searching etsy or ebay for Blythe clothes which are very similar size wise (just don't buy any blythe hats!)

Mine are mainly Mattel-though I have bought from minibarbie on eBay, a few pieces on Etsy, and Dollyknickers.

Asked that site if they had 1/6 doll clothes and they told me if you give them measurements of the doll
they could make custom ones fitting them. Thought I never commissioned them one as I was afraid it could be too different from the 1/3 scale one I saw in the pictures (because they can't shrink laces etch...)

Actually as I'm quite precise I have to say that Barble size is not perfect for Obitsu bodies as those ones are smaller. The top part of the clothes is a bit too large expecially in shoulder and waist (if they close on the back you can modify them to be tighter but, if they have sleeves, the shoulders will be too large). This happens mostly with 90's barbie clothes. The perfectly fitting size for Obitsu 27 cm is in my opinion that of teenager Skipper doll (and for obitsu 25 cm normal skipper clothes) which is smaller than barbie, even if they made really few clothes for that Skipper
And yes I confirm Blythe clothes usually fit them. ^^

Hobbysearch and Hobby Link Japan for Azone. Most of their non-Pureneemo stufffor 27cm ladies should fit. although 27cm m bust had a case of the tight waist with their Fairly of Darkness blouse. But stuff like shirts seems okay.

So take note which size their outfits are meant for.

a few more shops, Parabox Mimiwoo, Coolcat (I haven't bought 1/6 stuff from them though). and then there's the ebay search.

My 27cm m bust Obi ladies love their Takara Jenny clothes and shares it with the 25cm girls. Their shoes are decent although i have to stuff a ribbon into a pair of sports shoes to fit


Some rement clothes fits 27cm m bust like an awesome green hoodie which oddly enough even fits my buliker m bust cygirl. Most of the time the clothes tend to fit the 25cm smaller girls. Two-piece like this is okay for top, a little tight for skirts
Be careful with Rement shoes. They can be tight and some boots of not flexible enough to shoove a foot in.


Oh yeah when it comes to 1/6 make sure its Obitsu,Momoko, Bylthe, Pullip or Barbie 1/6 and not resin tinys 1/6. the propotion may be off.

I bought Barbie clothes on and off, not entirely familiar with the range so the fit is either hit or miss.

I'll be honest, a lack of good quality clothes at reasonable prices has put a damper on this area of the hobby for me. Several years ago, I was able to buy a small collection of Azone clothes and they fit Obitsu 27cm bodies pretty well. However, they're expensive, produced in small batches and the "standard" 27cm line seems all but dead.

Barbie stuff is probably your best choice but the fit is hit or miss. Also, the dyes and fabrics are sometimes pretty low quality so the chance of dye "bleeding" is a concern when dressing soft vinyl-bodied figures like the SB and SBH series. Watch out for notoriously fugitive colors like reds and black, as well as anything bright or deeply colored.

One idea I've considered but never tried is to find some Jenny clothes and see how they work. Supposedly, Volks and later, Obitsu, modeled their basic 1/6 scale body proportions on the Super Action Jenny body of the late '90s. In theory, this would be a better match but maybe someone else here can provide more insight.

I definietly suggest washing any dark fabric period weither it before sewing or already made stuff it's just not a good idea to take a risk of staining a soft bust. Vinyl's a bitch to get clean.

(Trust me. My friend spent over an hour to get a bad stain off her doll's head. The eraser was BLACK)

Honestly... I just make stuff. Learning to sew basics pieces can help out a lot to fill in wardrobe holes. Plus then you know something will fit (even if it takes a couple attempts) and will be in the color/pattern/fabric you want. The only thing I can't do is shoes... but since so far none of my 1/6 wears them that hasn't been an issue. ^__^

Oh and body suits or lining dark fabric with light definitely cuts down on the staining!!!!!

Lol I'm still typing as I rummage through my albums. a bit tough on a netbook. Serves me right for not taking more pics of my dolls when they're not in costume.

Its kinda weird. Obitsu seems to have a slightly thicker waist than Azone and Jenny dolls. Either that or my ladies have too much adominal muscles.
