Dollieh Sanctuary

Hey guys!

I wanted to share my latest 1/6 guy with you as he's a bit of a departure from my usual type - he's on the muscular obitsu 1/6 guy body! The head I got from the lovely Setsunakou back in August - it's unusual in that it's a volks neo go 02 head but it has a larger neckhole so it can fit on the neo guy body. I put it on an obitsu though...

Anyhoo, I was really fortunate in that a friend of mine painted the face up for me from a drawing of a 'masculine type' guy that I had saved and then when I got him back I boil permed his hair with straws and cut it ... I'm really pleased with the result:









It's funny... my sister said he looks like a 'Nathan' and I think that might stick. She also thought it was hilarious that I went to all this effort to get this guy when he looks the most 'typical' guy type off my shelf... She says he could almost pass for a ken doll! I can see what she means, but I really like him and thinks he has a bit of something extra than your average ken... even if it's the goatee, narrowed eyes or the extra poseability...? What do you guys think?

He looks really great and a lot more like a real person than a Ken doll does. Nathan is an excellent name-it means gift from God-it is my son's middle name.

Yeah, I definitely think Nathan has stuck now - and that's confirmed it. He's a Nathan!

Hah, he doesn't look like the typical Ken doll to me - what a great face-up! It gives him such personality!

Wow! This is what I wish Ken looked like. He's great, it's fine to have a non emo/anime guy. Regular cute guys have a place in our dolly work, and he is cute!

Yep, I think you might be onto something - he does have that regular guy thing going on but it works for him so I'm really happy with him.

Oh, he's GORGEOUS!!!!! I love his faceup, his hairstyle and EVERYTHING!! He's super handsome and so REALISTIC!!! I don't think he looks like a Ken at all! He's too dashing and beautiful! ^.~
