Sailor Pluto 10" 2011 Giochi Preziosi Custom Doll

Just in time for Taiki's birthday yesterday (May 30 is Sailor Star Maker/Taiki Kou's official birthday), I finished my custom 2011 Italian Giochi Preziosi style Sailor Pluto doll! She is about 9-10" tall with an oversized 'too cutesy' head. :laughs: Not the best likeness doll line but still sort of cute, I guess.
I had seen these dolls back then but was waiting for them to release the Outer Senshi....which, of course, never happened.
Then I forgot about the line for 14 years, until just a few weeks' ago when I happened upon a listing of them on eBay, while searching for something else! I said to myself 'Oh! I remember those!!! I guess they'll never make the Outers so I have to do customs of them for our collections! Now let me find a couple to buy....'
However, they are now in the $200-$400 realm! :faints: But I was fortunate in finding an auction for a Mars and I got her for just $78! Not great but decent priced at least to create a custom with! And she was mint in box, too!
So I rerooted her, repainted her face (in the Giochi style) and my sister made her dress for me.
She came out really well and I'm pleased that she looks like what she might have if they had released an official 2011 Giochi Pluto doll!

Ah, she looks lovely!

It sucks how little merch the outer senshi get. I guess since most people are more familiar with the Main Five, it makes sense, but it's still sad. Pluto and Saturn ESPECIALLY get the short end of the stick, and when they do get merch, it gets snapped up immediately and sold for astronomical prices.

Your Pluto looks absolutely beautiful. If you ever get them chance at a decent deal on more of these dolls, are you considering doing Uranus and Neptune, too?

Seconding Kattriella's question about a possible GP Uranus and Neptune. (I guess Chibi Moon and Saturn customs for this line would have to be older versions of themselves...)
