I'm not counting on seeing a Create A Monster kit until next year, I would so have one if they were reasonable, and most of the sellers are on pre order.

Seeing the little plastic darlings on the roof of my dollhouse really puts in to perspective how many I have, and it's making me want to skip Cleo's sister. I like the look of Operetta, can't stand the voice on the toon, but if one ever comes my way nothing says Phantom of the Paradise can't be her father.

Instead of dwelling on what we don't have, has anyone else named their Monsters other than their character names? I started naming them after Led Zeppelin's kids but ran out of. I've kind of given up and call them by their characters except for the reroots but the very first Ghoulia likes being called Kiera. My reroot Ghoulias are Murky, green hair, and Wednesday, black hair. Reroot glow in the dark Spectra is Lumina. Haven't settled on a name for half black and half white haired Jackson yet, and there's at least 2 more Ghoulias to go.

I don't but their personalities have definietly changed from when I got them. Frankie is curious, tends to be very, very hyper and irritates Haruka to no end. (She's sulking right now at finding out a possibillity of MORE monsters joining the family.) Ghoulia is still quiet but claims Zombie is her second languege now and demands snacks often. Spectra...She's a brat and her and Haruka get along in one way: "MORE CLOTHES NOW!"

When they were on the TRU website they were $25 each but me being me I'd go as high as $40. I need to check the Dr Elebenty fund but I'm close to getting one to review on my blog.
Kim's doll math= MSRP and Tax + gas and time to get someone to drive me there + how long I've looked = #@$! it and buy it already. Especially since I'm no longer within walking distance of any stores.

I do love the idea.

*raises hand* OOH ME!! I only have 1 MH doll, a Gloom Beach Draculaura... I named her Lilith. I also scrubbed the heart off her face and trimmed the scraggly ends of her hair.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I didn't know that the deal was they were really new. I have a pretty massive collection of Dragon based toys and figurines, that a dragon girl became a must have. Although, some mod/paint work will be in order when she arrives, as the dragon bits are secondary to the wolf bits in the kit. Boo.

Anyway, when I had seen the Create a Monster kits on ToysRUs' site, they were $36 (not scalped!), but the only one of the Dragon and Werewolf kits I've seen was going for about $45 on Amazon.

Does anyone know if they are they exclusively sold through ToysRUs?

I will pay store price when I find them. lol I'm not dying if they aren't there.
Well, I should say that I would pay a bit extra, but completely double? No way. It's just not worth it to me, a playline shouldn't be that much.

Mmmkay, if $36 is the TRU price then I'm not beyond $40-$45 do to mitigating factors. And I shouldn't allow retail therapy to be a part of it. Having just seen a flood of 1st waves including Ghoulias out on the shelves I'm going to try a bit more patience. I have reroots to deal with any way. Half the time if I can distract myself with another project I can pass the time and I'd really like to concentrate on making a house for the Monsters or repainting one of the Barbie hotels I have. But no outside painting until wind season dies down.

So, does anyone have any design ideas for a Monster Mansion? I have room to build upwards but can't figure where to start.

The one that will be ridiculously overpriced will be the Cupid.
