So with you on Holt's voice- it just doesn't seem in character at all.

Browsing eBay a few days ago, I saw several Toreleis- all from Australia! Has anyplace else in the world seen them yet?

And it's official: my Wal-Mart absolutely overflows with fail. *Big Lots* got the School Club outfits in before they did.

(BTW, there are Cleo/Deuce sets at Big Lots now. Also what Amazon calls the 'Classroom' Draculaura, and Gloom Beach. [which is $10 per through the 6th])

I was browsing my Photobucket and thought that I could share these here. :3
Might be useful for people who are curious/suspicious about the bodies of MH dolls.

Image
Da victim, my Cleo de Nile. She is the dead tired version, thought now very naked.

Image
The curve in the back is very pretty, but because there is no joint it limits the posing quite much.
But hey, pretties comes first? ;)

Image
The back is great for poses like this thought.

Image
She can also sit without having hands supporting.
And she can hold her hands on her face, or in front of her easily. :3
Maybe I'm just too used for BJD's who all don't do that by default and need sueding etc.

Image
This is the part that I don't like. :( She totally can't stand without wearing high heeled shoes.

Image
Their face ups are pretty strong, but kind of pretty in a way. :)
At least on this one. :3

Tell me if the pics are too big, I can make them smaller if needed. @___@

I'm at odds with that body curve the girls have :/ I have the GB Cleo and she's pretty loose in all her joints, I can't get her to sit on her own without hand supports.

Same with Ghoulia and Frankie. Spectra...The only issue is she is impossible to stand on her own as the rest of my girls are without their shoes even so it's usually leaning. She can sit on her own and do various poses. I love how she looks she looks so...Haunting. She's definietly one of my favorites.

I mostly updated my page, still has the old motion tests but it gives you an idea of what they can do http://dolfielittles.com/monsters.html

Being Mattel I expect so-so joints. I have Barbies with the same elastic in the hips thing and they don't hold poses that much. We're really just buying Monsters because we like how they look, if we wanted good dolls we'd get Obitsus.

Toralei, in the wild- someone at DollyDaily bought one from an Australian seller.

Love her, want one. (And I'm already trying to figure how to render a posable Barbie body that color. Staining, not painting, methinks.)

I like the heads and hands on these a lot but I just cannot get past the strange body to actually buy one. I'm just not falling for them though I do admire some of the redos I've seen so far.

I have a question since I'm going to be getting one of these lovely dolls for b-day/christmas something like that how loose are the hands? if I were to undress them how loose are the arms or hands once you remove them once or twice?

All of mine are doing fine and I've changed clothes and swapped hands a lot. There's a knob on the end of the post and it snaps in place. Being a kids' toy they need to be fairly hardy.

Agreed with DollyKim. I removed the hands on mine a lot and my only issue is a slightly loose arm with Spectra. With the older dolls like Gloom Beach or First Waves a swift tug will bring the arm off with a small peg on the end same with the hands.
