Well there is always Takara Jenny - Japan's official line of Barbie type dolls. There are dozens of kimono versions in various levels of elaborate - not to mention books you can get on how to make them. She's a bit shorter than Barbie, but her clothes should fit an obitsu. I know I have put Jenny clothing on my Marmot elves which are similar to obitsu.

Oh, there is also Kurhn another Chinese fashion doll. You can buy Kurhn on ebay or from China Sprout - who also carry the Yu Sai Wa dolls. http://www.chinasprout.com

Fun! I googled Takara Jenny and found on ebay a fun pattern book for sale. A bit pricey but it looked neat. Maybe someone here will scoop it up!

I have a 25cm obitsu lady that has been sitting around without clothes for three years. Maybe I'll find her a Takara Jenny outfit. Those were really cute.

With a bit of searching you can find Jenny books that are just an arm and not an arm and a leg. None of them are really worth paying over $50 for. Old volumes of Dolly Dolly have Jenny and Licca/Blythe sized patterns inside too.

Go to my old blog dolfielittles.typepad.com and look up "my favorite doll jenny/licca books" and/or "jenny books" and/or "licca books" I posted pictures of the finished outfits from each one so you can buy just the volumes you want. Some get repetitive and many sellers have pictures that don't represent what's really inside, just the same old lolita looking outfits. A Google images search for "my favorite doll jenny books" has some watermarked pics pop up and should take you there.
