The boards suddenly went down on me early this evening, and I thought I would give it one more go before bed...

Oh my gosh, thanks for all the congrats and the good advice on clothes. I will get out a few of my patterns and experiment.

Thanks so much! And yes Mitch, she's amazing. Just so beautiful! Resu has real face-up skills (or knows people who do, I'm not sure).

LOL I wish I was that good. XD

I don't remember who did her face-up because I wasn't her first owner. Her previous owner did mention that the artist used to be on the JS forum and took forever to send commissions back.

I can't remember her name but I think that was the girl who showed a flair for face up work and decided to offer to do them for free so she could practice. Not surprisingly, she got swamped and couldn't keep up with a delivery schedule.

She's really pretty! Congratulations on your win!

KInd of OT, but is that the Uhura head on your one girl? What body are you using for her?

I've decided to order a short dark wig from Facets by Marcia to start with, and then later make a bigger order and get the hibiscus colored wig and a bunch of other supplies.

Whoever did the faceup, they are amazing! I can see how they would get behind on work - a lot of time went into it!

Tira-chan, that is the Uhura head - I found her for $20 at Big Lots. Right now she is on an Artsy Fashionista body (the non-head-swapping kind). However, the skintone match is terrible (which you can see in the photos). I have heard that some of the So In Style dolls have a better match, but have not had time to hunt them up. I love Uhura's facemold - she just looks so intense.
