We collected the Hasbro 1985 and 1986 dolls back then and we still have them now. They were some of our favorite dolls from our childhood!
Anyways, I heard of the Integrity Toys 'Jem' dolls but didn't know they released the minor characters, too, until just a few months ago when we got a commission for all the characters from the series in plushie form! While I was researching details for the plush, I happened across pics of the official IT doll of 'Clash!'
She was my favorite character and doll back from the series and I was like 'Oh! I need to get her for my collections!'
I went to eBay and found.....she was selling between $600-700! :faints:
She was lovely but no way could I spend that much on one 1/6 doll!
Then I thought, maybe I can make a custom one for much less cost! :laughs: And possibly improve her hairstyle as well to be more like the concept art/character.
I did want a box to 'display' her in though, and first I thought I'd buy an old Hasbro Clash doll in box but again, she was selling for $150-$300 in the box! So that option was out!
I considered buying an empty IT Jem box to customize and almost did, but the seller on mercari never responded to my offers or even emails at full price. I think they just left the listings up but abandoned mercari a few years ago.
Then, I found a listing for a lot of old Jem Hasbro dolls on eBay with 2 boxes----Clash and Jetta!!! :faints: I was ecstatic! And it even came with the 'cassette,' too! :laughs: Happily, I won the auction and now have a 'display box' for my custom IT Clash.
I finished rooting and painting her faceup the other day. Here are her WIP pics (outfit still to come---we're in the middle of a bunch of rush cosplay commissions, so our hobbies have to wait. Commissions come first.).
I think she's coming out well so far!!! I like her hair better than the IT version and her head sculpt as well, is more accurate to the character from the series.
Plus, she was a LOT less costly than the $600 official version!! :laughs:

Hopefully, her outfit will be done sooner than later! When it's done and she's complete, I'll update this thread with finished pics.
