New arrival: Ultimate Hair Amidala

Postby WhiteDove01s » Thu May 09, 2013 3:23 am

Well, one of my May the Fourth splurge items arrived. I basically bought this doll for her hair accessories, and to possibly mug for her dress, and to use in all of two lousy scenes of the planned 1/6 Theater Star Wars Crossover stories.

I can't show pics as I don't have a still camera that works, and I don't know how to take still images using the laptop's built in camera and Windows 8. But, I did upload a short (about 6 minute) video of box-opening and babble about the doll, in case anyone's interested in how well she is(n't) designed. XD

Not that I don't have a few plans to fix some things...

Anyhow, the video would be here:

I had that doll when I was younger! She was really fun to play with. The only thing is the hair piece is pretty easy to damage; the hair wound around the plastic part can unwind if you play with it too much.

Thanks for the warning, I'll keep it in mind when styling her for the few scenes she's in (or if that part is used for any others). Right now, her hair accessories are shared out between three different dolls, and the rest are in a bag. I thought it was a little funny in retrospect that she didn't come with a doll hair brush. Her boots are definitely going to get shared around, I think, and I hope to trace a pattern off her dress and make some variations soon(ish).
