Hey guys

My brother found this on the internet and showed me. Its interesting and seems cheap enough so I thought I'd share with everyone :)

Looks like something my daughter would be interested in. She's been pining for a more realistic and moveable art model than the wood ones.

These are really cool, thanks for sharing. I wonder if one could print something as big as an SD?

Kiki-chan78's dolls were printed by Shapeways before she got her fancy 3-D printer. It can be done, but it is extremely expensive!

Yep, I asked the guy and he said it wasn't cost effective. It's too bad there's no profit margin or we'd probably see a lot more props and fun stuff offered. Maybe Shapeways can get some competition. That will probably help.

Well... I just ordered one in polished strong and flexible White. I'm primarily planning to use it for a drawing model, but I'll post some pictures... I hope I'll be able to put it together myself.

So I got this in the mail today!

And after two hours...

I sorta managed to string it loosely on cheap elastic. I've never strung anything before in my life. The hands, face, and that piece in the back won't stay in, so I'm gonna white glue them on soon.

I like this doll though, so much posability! I look forward to when I've sanded all the little pegs (which is more difficult than it looks, because this thing is TINY) and gotten a better elastic. This will be a dream poser methinks.

It looks like it would have taken forever to string and sand. I love novel little things like this. So much fun!
