Disney Palace Pets - Beauty (Aurora) & Summer (Rapunzel)
Posted: Tue Oct 15, 2013 6:57 pmI just ordered in two of these new 'pets for the princesses' dolls and they're sooo cute!
First, I bought 'Beauty' (Aurora's kitty) for myself and after I received her, I liked her so much that I decided to get Rapunzel's pet for my sister as one of her Christmas presents this year. (Her favorite princess.) They are about 3.5" high and with a poseable head. I imagine they'd make a good MSD sized kitten/puppy. (What Princess doll are these meant for? 0_o)
Some of the princesses have cats and some have dogs, while there are some random pets for some of the others (tiger cub for Jasmine, bunny for Snow White, panda cub for Mulan). The problem I encountered is that Rapunzel's pet was a cat! And....my sister is not a cat person. She loves dogs. She tolerates cats. (I love both dogs and cats equally. ^^)
So, I decided to transform 'Summer' (Rapunzel's kitten) into a puppy since my sister would love it so much more as a dog! I bought Belle's pet (a puppy) and repainted her and gave her a yellow fur tail, redressed the packaging and voila! The kitty is now a puppy! :laughs:
For my own---Aurora's kitten, Beauty, I liked her very much but I am not a fan of pink. So I repainted her with purple and palest lavender/white. I redid her faceup and I love her so much more now!!! What do you think? (After all, she already came with a purple fur tail!
It didn't make sense the rest of her wasn't purplish!)
