I discovered these adorable little fantasy dolls the other day!

Silverbeam's Magic is starting a brand new line of dolls, Littlings are tiny ball jointed dolls made via 3d Printing. first they are modeled with a 3d editing program, from foot (or tentacle) to the top of the head, adding in joints and sectioning it into limbs and parts. It is then uploaded to special printers that layer upon layer create the model in real life. If is then sent back to our shop, where we check it over, adjust or fix any problems, string it, and pack him up to you.

These dolls are currently all fantasy based and make a great collection. they can be sanded, customized, painted, face/blush up,, just like any BJD, perhaps even easier. The material has a slight grain to it so it is easier to apply color, and they can be dyed as well.

They're positively adorable, there's a dragon, gargoyle, unicorn and a little octopus mermaid so far, with a jellyfish girl and phoenix girl in the works. She also offers custom dolls! I've purchased a custom myself and am super excited - I'd love to get another to keep my little custom one company someday!

Yeah, we were talking about these little guys in this thread a while back: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5410 eendogenisis posted a few pictures of their octoling there too, if you scroll down. :3
I love the look of the new gargoyle boy! Man, I'm going to have to get one when I have money to spend again. *wistful sigh*

The gargoyle boy is so very cute - he's got new joints, and looking at the thread that was one of the problems with the octoling, apparently? My custom is going to have the new joints, so I'm looking forward to that.

I've read on several threads in various places, that these things do not pose at all. You can't get them to do anything and that they aren't even sanded smooth. ;( It's sad that someone would work hard on their creation, but not finish it entirely.

They are however, interesting ideas.

I suppose that's the reason the joint system was redesigned with the gargoyle boy released a week or two ago? I wonder if the jointing system will be updated for the rest of the dolls?
