Hey, I recently won an Ebay lot of Vintage dolls and one of them is one of those bendy body Tutti dolls. Since she's obviously such a different kettle of fish to what I'm used to, I search on looking how to restore dolls from this era, but I just find generic tutorials.
I seriously don't want to break one of her wires or damage her further, so can anyone offer any handy advice with these dolls?
Honestly, don't bend her. The metal is old and even minimal bending could snap it. I would take off her head and replace the body with a small obitsu. That said, if the wire breaks I think you can carefully slit the plastic with a very sharp x-acto and replace it. Then glue the slit back together with plastic cement. What does she need for care?
It's all about Hazel!

Zirc, thank you I guess I'll just clean her and find her a new body that isn't Gumby looking and has actual joints haha, and put her old body into storage.
Amber Rose, I must admit, I got the child sized Elegant body and asides from the somewhat disturbingly detailed vagina it has, it broke much too easily for my tastes...
Yeah i used to want one until i realized it was not just skin over a jointed body but just a bendy body, so i never bought one. did you see for larger 27cm dolls dollmore now has a strung 12" abs body for sale for $50 with free head now?
