Desert Rose BJD Beading

Postby Greyhaunt » Tue Jan 08, 2013 4:38 pm

Yea, I'm breaking a rule, but hey, there should be SOME perks to running this place - right? hahahahaha

Anyway, I've officially opened Desert Rose BJD Beading - my commissionable services for doing beadwork for dolls. This means necklaces, bracelets and even decoration on clothing. I just have a facebook page for it at the moment http://www.facebook.com/pages/Desert-Rose-BJD-Beading/323512477767407 Please look it up for samples of my work, and "like" it to get updates :)

I am selling pre-made pieces via Ebay until I reach a point where I feel having an Etsy or Ecrater shop will benefit me. My ebay username is manga-dolls because, well, I also sell manga hahahahaha.

And for the curious - yes, I chose the name Desert Rose because I really love the song by Sting....and I live in the middle of a frigging desert hahahahaha.

What a pretty site, greyhaunt. I'm sure you will do very well.
I'd encourage you to get an Etsy store. Their fees are a lot cheaper than eBay's, and lots of people shop there. Plus, you can list things for six months. And people can see all your things when they visit your store.

Ooh! I REALLY need to save up now~! :D One question, for decoration on clothing would I need to send you the clothing first or can simple pieces be made from scratch?

I think it depends on what you want. I mean, in the case of something like the bodice on the harem outfit I have to actually have the outfit to do the embroidery on it. If it was something you simply wanted to sew onto a different piece later, then I suppose I wouldn't need the clothing. I do make clothing, but I prefer to do it for dolls I have or similar to what I have.

That said, I've got some 60 odd dolls so I probably have something close to anything LOL.

I Liked your FB page! I love that harem outfit - not that I can afford it at the moment. The only other thing that would keep me from buying it is there are no panties ... Lorilei is a bit of a prude, you know. LOL

LOL - yea, fortunately Bird isn't.

I actually just finished with my SD underwear pattern, but I'm not going to make some just for that outfit right now :)
