When it's time for a change

General discussions about dolls, new releases, doll reviews...you know, stuff that doesn't really fit in all the other categories but is strictly about dolls.

I feel like some of my dolls don't fit in the aesthetic I find pleasing anymore. I still like the dolls. I just feel like now there are more and better options for the characters of dolls I already have. I don't know if I'll bring myself to actually reshell anything, but I can't say I've not thought about it.

I'm going through kind of the same thing. I'm giving more attention to my play line dolls then my BJDs. Which makes me sad. :(

I just recently started giving my display dolls and figures turns instead of having them out all at once. It makes setting up a scene for them much more fun.

Find some plain or fun fabric to drape over them like they do for furniture to keep the dust off.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

I've been asking myself this lately too. I don't think it's time for culling yet, but I feel like I'm reaching my limit for how many dolls I want and need, and in order to be more selective with my buys I'm trying to define to myself what I want out of my collecting. So far it seems to be different things every day, but maybe that's alright? It's just a hobby, I don't need to have a plan, or become an expert at any single aspect.

I need a better storage solution though. I tend to cycle my dolls too, and I want to be able to put them away completely for a while when I'm not feeling it.

I have a pair of 9 cube fabric bin units. It holds lots of doll stuff, they have a shelf on top, and the colors are happy. The 1/6 scale and smaller fit in if need be.

I found clothes I had cut out for Lilly and family but didn't get around to sewing. They're on the shelf now so that's a step towards doing stuff together.
