Dollieh Sanctuary

First of all, there was the road trip, of course. Josphine was my co-pilot this time around which was a mixed blessing. She was mostly well behaved - until she saw the dinosaurs at Cabazon, CA.













We could have driven straight to Fresno, but as I was a day ahead of my reservations I ended up stopping at a Motel 6 in Tulare. The next day, Josie was very ready to hit the road again!



It should be noted that despite driving around and scoping out the route to hotel/airport/etc... I still managed to get lost in Fresno...sigh.... K2 will probably never get in a car with me driving again.

After picking up K2 at the Fresno Airport we both checked into our respective hotels and then went to find food before going to our first meeting with Cirque. At this point we learned that Fresno has a LOT of mexican food restaurants, but not a whole lot else (and I'm not fond of mexican food being from arizona). We also learned that GPS lists can be very outdated, as we followed the directions to a non-existant japanese restaurant >< This lead to us eating at a Denny's since it was there and it was open LOL.

Outside of the Denny's, however, we made a bit of a discovery.







You'll note there is a distinct lack of photos of us people. What can I say, we prefer to leave the world a sense of mystery

After a breakfast at IHOP on Sunday (what, no picks of the convention? Yep, totally forgot to take any we were so darn busy LOL) we went to the park to take a group photo of our girls - as posed by the Master himself- K2!!



of course sometimes it's difficult to get all the girl's to stand still for any length of time...




*no dolliehs or squirrels were injured in the pursuit of these photos....though it was touch and go on the squirrel thing more than once*

I really have to make a convention or meet-up where there are lotsa dolliehs someday... LOVE the shot of Anna Marie attempting to pet the squirrel. And Josephine and the dinosaurs! So nice to see the whole gang together!
