Well cave... basement, whichever you prefer ^-^
Hello! I'm Nikita~ been stalking the forum the past week or so. After my friends on another forum pooh-poed my dollies when I posted pictures, I thought I need to find a place where people actually appreciate dolls as a hobby and art. And here I am!
Always loved dolls, have had Barbies since forever, but just about last year I got a 27cm female Obitsu for my birthday after seeing her in an art supply store and expressing my interest in her greatly to my parents. I thought she was a figure drawing model for Manga, and since I'm an artist first, I thought she'd make a nifty drawing tool ^-^;
Well after I opened up the package and admired her a bit, my mom and I looked up Obitsu dolls, and I fell in love with the dolls.
I have two now, my 27cm female and 27cm male, and I plan on getting two more soon here. Neither of them have faces yet, but I am practicing face-ups on an older Barbie I destroyed some years back, so eventually they'll have faces!
I do more of sewing and doll clothes than the painting and modding, and I've been sewing fancy Barbie dresses and unique clothes together for a long while (being bored with factory clothes).
I am absolutely obsessed with Steampunk, so many of my dolls have at least one Steampunker outfit. And as for my Obitsu dolls, that's pretty much the only thing I let them wear. Oh yes, and their names are Eliss and Cainna, you'll meet them soon enough.
And that's a bit about my and the beginning of my more serious doll journey. So hello! I look forward to my time here and meeting you all!
