Greetings from the PNW!

Hello there, everyone. I've been registered for a while now, but I've been lurking... a lot. Until now!
My name's Calochortus, which is a herbaceous flowering plant native to the occidental side of the Americas, which is where I live (the Pacific Northwest, to be more exact).I'm a nerd and self-proclaimed genius.
..Err. Well, I'm in my twenties and have two biology-related degrees, an uncanny ability to foretell boring future events in dreams, a torrid obsession with Frederic Chopin (really, all the yaoi jokes aside, I would have been so much better for him than that George Sand), and the desire to be a spinster and knit/crochet/tat/spin/sew and rescue Scottish terriers and cockatiels forever. Oh, and I consume massive amounts of tea and literary fiction.
I liked dolliehs as a child and still have all of my MLPs and some of my Barbies from back then. I've been in love with bjds since about 2005, but haven't decided on anything yet. I have some Pullips, though, and I'm tempted to just stay with them or other fashion dolliehs. Also, I've been wanting to get better at making dollieh clothes, and that's one of the reasons why I'm here!
Or something. I promise my other posts won't be this science-y or awkward. It's nice to meet you all!
