Hey! I am quite new to BJDs, my first 27cm obitsu is on order from JS as we speak. I hope to get a Hujoo Wings Sleepy for Christmas.
As for American dolls I like had so many Barbies and all there accessories/ sets. I still have them in storage.
Currently I am really like Monster High, been watching the vids, so cute. Draculaura is my favorite.
I love all the custom outfits here, random question how hard would it be for those making customs to make them a lil larger to fit obitsus? I love the MH fashion but they are bit too skinny.

Hiya and welcome! ^^ Sorry, I don't know much about sewing or modding clothes yet, so I'm not much help with your questions, but hopefully you'll find the answers here. (:

Welcome to the madness :)

As far as upsizing costumes goes, the first thing you have to do is have a pattern. There are ways of making patterns without disassembling an existing piece - but that is generally the easiest way to do it. Once you have the pattern all you need to do is enlarge it based on the measurements of the doll you want to make it for. Dale Rae makes a wonderful set of instructions on how to customize patterns (she actually uses human patterns in this case) for dolls. This is the page for the "how to resize for fashion dolls": http://www.dalerae.com/Enlargepattern06.htm and this is the page for Measuring your doll: http://www.dalerae.com/Fittingpattern06.htm Even though they say "fashion doll" the instructions will work for BJD or any type of doll :)

I admit, I don't get quite as precise always as she instructions, but I've used her method and it works great :)
