Dollieh Sanctuary

Being a retiree I came to doll appreciation rather late in life! A friend had bought a figure made by Phicen and I liked it so much, and could see so much potential for creativity, that I followed suit.

At the moment I’m creating two figures, called Tarma and Kethry, from a series of books by one of my favourite authors. I’m having a great deal of fun and am developing all sorts of unexpected skills. I’ve always been a dressmaker but bits of armour from Worbla is a new experience! I’m a keen photographer and will be taking photos of the ladies once I get them finished and compositing them into images - hopefully. More fun!

Min? Are you the Min who recently got in to Phicen figures through photography projects with LondonRoadHog aka Colin? You created that marvelous medieval setting, then?

I don't pay very close attention here at Dollieh Sanctuary these days, so I missed your post! It's been kinda slow here lately. I hope to see you around on here from time to time.

Hi victoriavictrix. I had no idea why you could be giggling maniacally till I read Davis’s next post. I take it you’re Mercedes Lackey?? Wow! I’m very pleased to ‘meet’ you. When Colin showed me his first Phicen figure my first though was Tarma and Kethry and the second was Amberdrake and/or a Herald! I haven’t done either of them yet although they are both on my ‘to do’ list. I’ll put some pics of the ladies T and K up in the 1/6 thread too.
