...Gets as excited as I do about a trip to the doll aisle. That's why I'm here!
When I was little, I didn't like dolls. I had toy horses, countless stuffed animals and a playstation to occupy my time. I was interested in resin ball jointed dolls for a long time in high school, but always figured I would never spend the money on one. In college, I discovered Monster High dolls, and more importantly I discovered that there were artists who could make them look just as gorgeous as the resin dolls! I combed the internet for tutorials, went out and bought my first doll and proceeded to love every bit of the customization process. I was hooked.
I've been working on Monster High and Ever After High dolls off and on for a couple of years now, and I've finally ordered one of the resin BJD's that I had been admiring for years. Nobody I know in person is more than mildly interested in my MH dolls and even fewer will understand the value or beauty of an expensive, fragile BJD. I want to talk about dolls, be excited and share my own dolls, and I'm tired of feeling weird for my hobby.
That's me! I'm glad to be here and it's great to see a community where I can show off all of my dolls without worrying about what's 'on topic'.
