WIP: a woolen wig for Ellie

As soon as I knew I'd adopt a Souldoll Asen, now named Ellie, I went on a hunt for the perfect wig. Knowing exactly what you want can be tricky though: I couldn't find it . So... I decided to try making one myself . I've got the entire weekend to spend on doll hobby stuff ^^
I didn't get very far trying to create a wig cap myself, so I took a brown wig in the right size that had already been cut up by the previous owner anyway, and cut away all the hair.
In order to make this wig, I bought Viking Eco-Alpaca wool. I separated the wool so that I'd have two "strands" of curly/wavy hair that get plushy when torn <3. I'm glueing them strand for strand, layer for layer around the wig cap using Tacky Glue. I decided to go for the glue method because I've already noticed the glue is pretty strong and let's face it, it's easy and I can't sew very well
This is what she looks like right now (and she's pretty annoyed because she can't see anything ):
