Elby's old face-up was a pain and a half to remove, and that took the better part of my day off last week. I tried my hand at painting face-ups again... with disastrous results. xDD Pastels and prismacolors for LIFE!
So, with several days of puttering, Elby returns with a new face-up. c: He really need a shorter wig so he doesn't look quite SO much like a girl... >_>
Here's a picture of his gorgeous face before I redid his face-up:
And after~
He's wearing... smaller eyes (uhh... 14mm? I don't even know T_T) than he usually does. He came with these eyes, and I think they make him look a little more grown up? But in that light brown color, they also make him look a little terrified... xDD
So here's some with his usual eyes, 16mm something or other, I guess.
Since L-bi's have those big ol' open lips, there's a little resin bit that fits inside their head to give them some teeths. It's the same color as the rest of their resin, which almost looks like teeth even without painting it. But I decided to go ahead and paint it. I think it's a nice little detail. c:
I'm moderately happy with how it turned out, although I'm still pissed that I couldn't totally remove the color around his eye sockets near his nose. : / Will probably need another go, but, it's cute for now~ c:
What d'you guys think about the eyes? Should I go with smaller or bigger?
Extra:
My Candlejack is a Momma's boy and always follows me around when I'm inside the house. xD But whenever I try to get him to pose with my dolls, he gets THAT look. xDD I swear he really thinks they're little people.
