All switches have been turned to evil but they never turn on their creator. They're always a bit frightening at this stage.











There's no killing them with fire, it's Paperclay so that'll only harden them.

I have no idea how I'm going to do the pig tail dreads, haven't decided if I'll sculpt goggles on to him yet.

Melvin after his nose job. Just a test layer of paint, he still needs a bit of work.



The Backstreet Boys just about ready for their ears.

One more session to do the hair on the tops of their heads and any more little tweaks then the BSB will be ready to paint.

They aren't really "Boys" anymore, are they?

I just rest on the thought that once Kevin turned 30 and they were doing wire work someone in the audience had to be shouting "Renew! Renew!" at him.

Off to get their hair did.



Just about ready to paint, they'll get surfaces with a thin layer of modeling paste and the last little bits like correcting crooked eyebrows will be fixed.


Lance is ready to paint, Chris just needs longer braids.

Now to spend the next week waiting for the layers to dry during painting. This is prep sealer, modeling paste for patching, and a thin wash or two of a flesh tone. It's all about making sure the skin is good and there aren't any holes or wrinkles that shouldn't be there.


The main thing done with Joe are his nose and eyebrows.


The BSB and a couple of friends. Not the best angle on Happy but I think a couple of these fellows are some of the best heads I've ever made.

Joe' head looks amazing! Very life-like. Your practice really shows here, amazing work.
