Penny Paperclay is finished!

Postby DollyKim » Tue Jan 06, 2015 11:59 am

This is the little type of doll I was hoping to make out of wood, not happening any time soon, so I ended up making her soft bodies with Paperclay parts. Aside form the shoes the Paperclay is unpainted, just a prep sealer and gloss top coat on it. She's based on 1830s Apollo Knot hair style dolls and supposed to look a bit primitive.

I'm quite happy with how she came out, this is what she was intended to look like. Next step is the head and shoulder plate. I wanted to have the body made up first so I can be sure the shoulder plate will fit.

Thanks :) Something about that look with the big sleeves and the spaniel ears hair spoke to me for some reason.

All done and ready to play! She stands about a foot tall.

Trying to get the right angle to catch the little feet peeking out from under the skirt.

Her coloring is pure Creative Paperclay with a prep sealer then a gloss sealer on top.

Wow DollyKim, she looks amazing! I love her expression, and the shoes peeking out from the dress. :)
