I wanted to give Alwyn a light, natural faceup. I used pastels, watercolour pencils and acrylic paint. I had to enhance this photo to make the freckles more visible. I think I may do them darker next time so that they're picked up more by the camera. The eyelashes were done by a wonderful friend of mine, who has much steadier hands and experience doing those little lines.
For Finn, I wanted him to keep a dramatic look but less clownish. So I used less pink to blush him and a less vibrant pink for the lips. I put some blush on his nose, but I'm not sure if I like how it looks on him.
Once again, the materials were pastels, watercolour pencils for the hairs of the eyebrows, and acrylic paint. My friend did the eyelashes and I did the eyeliner. The paint is the same colour as Alwyn's, but I dusted them with black pastel so they would darken. The tips of his ears are lightly blushed with the same mix of blue and black pastel as his eyebrows. Well, with a bit more blue but his wig hides his ears usually. ^_^;
