Try having just a swamp cooler. I've never lost a doll or even eyes to the heat, only had some Re Ment get stuck together.

It should be capping out at around 114 at some point in time today here in Phoenix. And it's due to get worse...oh, and let's not talk humidity (monsoon season).... Thank god for AC - it's the only thing keeping me and the resin/vinyl family alive!

We'll be in the high 90s with over 50% humidity for a while unless we get another run of rain to cool things down. We're heading into 100 plus days as we wend August-ward.

Where's my sweater? The fog has come in and it's now 60. Er....sorry guys. I guess you'd better all get in your cars and drive on over to the coast. I had my booksigning today (went great, more tomorrow) and it was only in the low 80's in Petaluma- which was wonderful. It could have been much, much hotter and I'm a total wimp. Astrid- I used to live in Bakersfield (was born there, in fact) so I feel your pain. And yeah- we only had a swamp cooler too. Was humid and sounded like a jet airplane, also blew dust everywhere. But given the alternative..... I had one friend with actual air conditioning....man, it was wonderful going to her house (she also had a pool- she was a very popular girl).

Oh- and the dolls won't melt, but I would lie them face-down if possible, otherwise the eye putty might soften too much and their eyes fall into their heads. Not serious, but a pain nevertheless.

We took my Mom out to run some errands on Thursday and the thermometer in the car ranged from 101 to 105. Fortunately, it has rained on and off the last two days so the highs have only been in the mid- 90s.
The humidity however... holy crap!

I am just glad I can handle the heat during the day and we have an A/C unit in the bedroom for at night :3
