I can't even think right now. I can't breathe. I can't do anything.

My dear kitty baby of almost 10 years died this morning. I don't know why, I just can't understand. He was so fine yesterday, loving and purring. He slept next to me last night into the the early hours of the morning while I read and sewed. And I woke up and he was gone.

This is so hard.

We were so close, we did everything together, it's like loosing my child.

I love him so so much.



I took this photo of him just last week, he was mad at me because I woke him when I took pictures of him.

He was such a beautiful cat and I'm sure he knew how much you loved him! You'll see him again someday, I'm sure!

I'm so sorry. At least he spent most of his last hours next to you, warm and loved.
Cats do this sort of thing, they will hide pain, sickness or simply knowing it's their time until the very end.
He passed peacefully and happily. 'hugs'

His heart probably gave out and he went in his sleep. It happens and believe me it's kinder that way when it does. I'm very sorry for your loss but I do understand. I've lost a couple of kits in the past and it was just awful every time. I keep telling myself that I'm done with pets but somehow I end up with another furry friend in my life. My two cats now are 6 and 14 and the older one he has some serious issues so I know it's only a matter of time. This is the hard part of having pets but I've never doubted it's worth it. The unconditional love they give? Animals are such a joy really and I think we're just lucky to have them while we do.

Oh, kittyasauras, I'm so sorry. That's how my family lost my dog last July, so I know what you're going through. She hadn't gone to the basement in months but she came to visit me when I was down there one day and the next day she was gone. It always comforted me to know she's in a better place without pain, maybe you can get some solace from that, too.
