I've seen some steampunk accessories and steampunk dolls, and I was wondering.

Do any of you guys do steampunk stuff with your dolls, or even full human size steampunk? If so, can you tell me a bit about it? Thank you :)

I've done some assemblages, can't say if they're exactly steampunk but I've tried. This is Young Sherlock Holmes inspired thus the specific pieces like the violin, mummy, and even the black heart, if you've seen the movie you know why. The tag behind the magnifying glass says 'find'. I still want a deerstalker and pipe for it.

And a general Doctor Who assemblage, the regular key says 'memory', the glass parts and the bottle have rubbings on them that have to do with time.

Doll wise I'm working on a case and stuff for my Holmes and Watson.

My friends and I (mostly me) are trying to create our own steampunk LARP, does that count?

Assemblages... Hmm... looks interesting!

Yep, I'm sure larping with a steampunk theme counts! Do you guys have a story figured out?

My original doll/action figure back story was heavily influenced by Frank Chadwick's Victorian Sci Fi game Space 1889 and H.G. Wells' The Shape Of Things To Come. I also sought influence in the writings of Woodrow Wilson (yeah, same guy who later became US President) and a fair amount of material left by my paternal grandfather, who'd served in the US Army right at the turn of the last century.

As you can imagine, it was turning more "post Victorian" and eventually it morphed in to something inspired more by second-quarter 20th century aesthetics. I found I simply wasn't as enchanted by the Victoria and immediate post-Victorian eras. The two factions in the original story eventually became modern day fictional nations and many of the characters were recast in present day roles. There's still a fair amount of leftover from my earlier incarnations, such as military uniforms, but it would be difficult now to imagine that it had started as a VSF/Steampunk concept.

We've got the premise of the story figured out, but as for actual storyline for the game, I've only got the very beginning down.

Since "Steampunk" is supposed to be based on Victorian times, I wonder if there is an equivalent based on the 1920's if that makes any sense.

That would be Dieselpunk -- roughly 1920's to 40's.

I have a steampunk doll -- This is my Island Doll Wallis, Jerrica, the heroine of the novel I'm working on:
