Costuming skills yay?
Posted: Fri Nov 04, 2011 2:42 pmI know I've been away for... at least a month now (Going from 8-ish hours a week to 30+ a week between two jobs left me no motivation for dolliehs) and I know I never really was that active in the comm, but I figured I'd still give it a shot.
When I am not doing dollieh things, I'm usually being a big ol' nerd. That's what I was when I went to SDCC this year and wore this to the con. Yes, I dressed as Merv Pumpkinhead from Sandman, and my friends and I made the head ourselves.
I wore this costume to a contest for the local comic store and managed to be a finalist. The champion is decided by votes on Facebook. The voting ends at midnight tonight and I am now 30 votes behind Hit Girl. I'd kind of like to win, mostly because we spent so long making that freaking pumpkin head, and how awesome Merv is as a character.
