Repaint or part with?

When you have extra dolls that you don't know what do with but you know they really don't have any resale value but someone out there might want 'em and need advice.

I have a spare set of NKOTB dolls I mugged for their stuff to put on my other set which I'm emotionally attached to. They're Hasbro and not really better than very early 90s GI Joes without grips. Should I wipe and repaint them or see if someone else wants them as they are? Anyone have any ideas what could be done with them? (not another boy band though)

Here's the sculpts as they are, the hats come off.

OH MY GOD I LOVE THAT GUY'S SWEATER.

*ahem* Anyways, I think if you are emotionally unattached to the dolls you should see if anyone wants them as they are. That's my two cents.

The second from the left and the guy in the center look like characters from the Karate Kid...>.>

Me keepy the sweater and stuff, and I could become attached with a good repaint and new ID. It's kind of the thing where the one in the pic is my Joe that I played with and sewed for, the other is just a doll waiting for something to happen.

You're in a new house with room, I say keep and repaint and see what happens.

That's why I think you should see if someone else wants them.... He could become their Joe, or whomever. I hope what I'm trying to convey is coming across. It's like, if you have one set you already love, why not give the other set to someone who could possibly love them?

But I see what you're saying about the repaint. Really it is your choice, so if your heart says "repaint" then repaint, regardless of what I or anyone else has to say.

I'm wondering about a more realistic repaint, pastels and such, no solid ideas yet.

And the new place doesn't have much more room for me and the dolls, still just one room for us because the big TV apparently needs it's own, but we have our own bathroom.

I think today's doll blog will cover getting your own substitute Joe Mac doll, now if there was only a way to have an F Bomb pull string...
