One of my friends likes collecting Disney dolls, and she has an Aurora, but she was wondering if there were any dolls of the fairy godmothers made. I figured you guys would know! So, any fairy godmothers out there? Or is this a lost cause?

hmmmm, dolls, I'm not sure. Beanie toys - yes, I remember seeing those!

And I think one or two of them came out as McDonald's toys too back in the day....I'm fairly sure I turned one of them into an Xmas ornament.

If anyone here would know about Disney stuff I bet it would be Dollykim. You might try shooting her a PM.

Britbrat-san is right---Sleeping Beauty is my all-time favorite Disney film so I've tried to collect as much merchandise from it as possible. Particularly the dolls.

They never made 1/6 dolls of the fairies, but they made a few sets of 'figures.'

I recently sold a set of cold cast porcelain figures that stood about 3.5" tall each---Mlatch-san was right in saying they were 'ornaments' but easily turned into figures by clipping their string holder. Someone else is selling them here:

And I have an extra set of fairies that I was about to post on eBay a set of 1.5" figures that the Disney Store released with the dolls last year or so, and still releases with Aurora's wardrobe set. I use these as my main and favorite doll's 'fairy' counterparts, from when they became 'tiny' with wings. ^^

Mattel also made a set that when you place each fairy godmother on Aurora's hand, her dress lights up a different color. (Blue for Merryweather; pink for Flora; and purple for Fauna) These fairies are about 1" high.

And Grey-sama is right---McDonald's released a set that had Flora. She is so funny in that she's a paper cutter to make little 'stars' or 'hearts' when you place paper in her skirt bottom! (The Sleeping Beauty toys were all 'school' or craft oriented. Maleficent dragon was a pen, Aurora and her spindle were a figure with 'eraser', the crow was a paper clip, etc.)

Let's see....Disney Store makes a Figure set, that has the fairies---they're also about 3.5" in height. It's a box set of figures that is actually on sale right now at the disneystore:

And if you are set on 'dolls' of the fairies, an Italian company called DeAgostini did release a set of them, about 10-15 years ago. They're short, about 4-5" in size, so they might work well enough for scale on 'human sized' godmothers. They are porcelain heads and hands with cloth bodies.

Tomy Japan also has a tiny set of figures that Aurora comes with Flora and Philip comes with Merryweather and Fauna.

Also, the plush dolls versions:

Finally, the Netherlands released a set of 5" dolls of them that were supermarket prizes only. I actually am bidding on this set now! I hope I win it!

And of course, there are tons of procelain collector figures of the fairies, but I think you don't mean that type, right? ^^

Good luck!!!!

Not Disney so much as general 1/6. All the dolls they came out with the past year or so none of them were fairies, I only saw them in figurine sets at the parks. I'd say pick up 3 tiny dolls, Obitsu 11cms for example, and make a custom set. Or just get some heads and hands and pop them on beanbag bodies.

Wow, SetsunaKou that was a lot of information. Lots of great information. I thought I knew a lot about Disney dolls. I guess I was wrong. Lol. I wish more merchandise was made of the fairies. They were the best.

Couldn't any Fairy Godmother heads be popped on those 11cm Obitsus instead of beanbag bodies?
