Like what the title says, when do you most connect with your dolls? Is it when you take pictures of them? Is it when you dress them or fix their hair? Or is it when you first receive or order them? I want to know about you guys and your dolls. Personally when I most connect with my dolls is when I take pictures of them and see what other people think, It's such an awesome feeling! What is your situation?

Whenever I'm dressing Haruka or taking pictures of her or one of my dolls with her is when I most connect with them. Sewing for them is also when I connect because I can see what fits, pose them in the outfit to make sure it doesn't rip or tear in a certian pose. Mostly though is when I take her out on small outings. (She wore her new kimono to the fireworks.)

I suppose different dolls connect differently.

I have a few who I connect really well with when they give me crazy photo ideas or outfit ideas. My males don't ''talk' to me much but that don't mean I like them less and some of my ladies are going through downtime between projects and don't mind just standing around.

And since I face-up and root my customs it usually means that the bonding starts from there. And if I don't connect around that time, they would abandon the heads and go back to my headspace.

I think that I connect with my dollieh throughout the time I spend with them. It's not dependant on what I'm doing. It's much like connecting with a real person. It's about quality time. ^___^

I don't think there's any interaction with Cherry where I don't connect with her. Whether I'm dressing her, fixing her hair, making clothes for her, or just sitting around watching TV or websurfing while she's sitting nearby...

Seriously, I connect with Cherry in a way I never have with any other doll except possibly Megumi or Caitlin (my handmade ragdoll from, like, 20 years ago, whom I still have, by the way).

I really need another photo with Evie with myself, but her and I have connected on a level I haven't felt before, I love dressing her, photographing her, and even just cuddling with her around the house. But also with Wren and Sparrow, just dressing them and getting them to pose as I want around the house. I love them! I always thought I would love BBB/RS and now having some home, I adore all my girls. It also helps that all of them photograph excellently and I love showing off how cute they look! <3

I connect most with them when I pose them, not neccesarily for photos, just posing them, seeing what new poses they can hold, and having them near me. Although posing is currently a bit hard with Elodie since she's kinda dissasembled right now...

After reading everyone's posts, I guess I'm a cold, heartless owner because I really don't connect with my dolls at all. I find myself more connected with the concept of their characters instead.

Even though I consider the dolls as simple visual representations of the characters, I still see the two as completely separate. By the time I even consider selling off a doll, I had already stopped seeing the doll as the character. That's pretty much the reason why I feel no remorse when I put up my dolls for sale.
