It's a Femisapien, which is a really cute little robot toy. Cheap enough on amazon now that you could do that. The doll head and hands would cost more than the robot.

It's not a Femisapien. I don't know if this could be done with a Femisapien. They are at least partially controlled by the head. Hmmm...but at this price I'd consider taking one apart.

I'd be willing to bet, based on the movement and the legs. that the dancing doll has Femisapien guts. This is not to say it's not kewl, but why reinvent a wheel when you can take something apart?

Her name is Alice (亜里栖 (アリス)) and is an eternal 15 years old. Alice is made up from 25 servo motors and a Viston processing unit. Battery is a 6.0v+4.8v. She also comes with 2 gyro and 3 accelerator sensors.

Hmmm, to me that looks like a challenge, I just don't have the odds and ends of parts sitting around. But there could be a puppet solution.

I'd frankendolly an Obitsu to a Femisapien if I had time and money.

....if I could get my head around that, I'd have a dancing minion...... or Nijika'd be more epic than she's going to be.

o_o ...if i had about a thousand dollars laying around, I'd commission my R2D2 builder friends to do that to a 60cm Obitsu.
