Not so surprising link between the two halves of this hobby

Sooo... For a frustrating while now I noticed that whenever people do a custom/group order in the 1/6 action figure hobby (unfortunately home of many painfully insecure men who cry "they're not dollies honest!") they tend to get the clothes from a mysterious person/company called Yunsil... And I think I've finally worked out who on earth they are (in the loosest sense).

So their action figure stuff is all here (and it's crazy impressive and almost justifies the extortionate pricetags demanded for these sets... almost *Cries* ...the going rate is well into the triple figures for these sets):
http://toribox.com/

...But they also have these sites:
http://treedesign.kr/
http://obraentree.com/front/php/category.php?cate_no=4
http://www.tplant.net/front/php/category.php?cate_no=12

Now my Korean is absolutely non-existant but I'm guessing they're a tailor of some repute in the bjd world too? (I've just managed to completely miss their existence these past few years.) Now honestly I should have pegged that given the amount of (usually ignored and shunned) overlap between these two halves of the hobby that would extend to the business side of things too but I thought it was interesting enough to share!

(...And yes utterly terribly... And painfully when you take into account the likely cost this thing will command I am seriously attempting to work out how to fund/actually ask for a commissioned outfit from these guys... Mr B needs his perfectly tailored suits, in both scales...)

Those sets are impressive, and given the tiny scale they have to work in to get them so immaculately detailed, I'm not surprised they're asking for a lot of money.

Looks like they've designed outfits and collaborated on a lot of fullsets for different BJD companies, too, which is pretty impressive. I'm sure they must have some way to get their product to English speakers, as well. Possibly through an agent if they don't have English websites. Just dig around a little; you might get lucky.

As for me, I'd love to know if their 1/6 scale clothes would actually fit my Soom Faery Legend boys. They're so big the standard 1/6 Obitsu scale is too small, and Ken clothes just looks ridiculous on them. They're buff fantasy faeries, not teenage high school boys. They need proper outfitting. Or at least some pants. lol

I only heard of Tree Design through Ajumapama some years back. You might want to try Ebay in the event they load some of their stuff there to test waters.

Thanks from the sounds of it a lot of other bjd companies use their services. I'm going to attempt to find out what the hows and whys are about Toribox from the action figure community.
