Yeah, I don't know where to put this so yeah, sticking it here.

WARNING! RANT IN PROGRESS:

I am sick and tired of finding all things BJD on freaking DoA. Nothing aginst them, it's VERY irritating. Yes, I realize there are links and cool stuff here as well, And I am very greatful ^_^. But when I try to do a specific search BAM fucking DoA. EVERY FUCKING TIME! :x

Now I realize I never say THAT word, but I'm at that point where my patience is worn thin with my search. Oh, and it doesn't end at DoA, either. I can't even register at Legendary Tutorials forum. I get a fucking error every time! I can't even contact the Admin for help. Well I tried, no reply yet, it's been a month.

Yeah, so uhm sorry, had to vent. RANT OVER. [For now]

Uhhh... I think there's a way to omit a certain site from your searches, like if you put into the google search bar: topic you're searching -"den of angels"

Uh, honey...the site owner (Valkyrie) died earlier this year. I think her husband has it up in maintenance only form at this point.

 Ok, now I feel like an ass. I did not know that, and I didn't read anywhere that his wife had died. Serves me right for not asking.

And if I did omit DoA out of the search, somehow Google sneaks it back in.

Sorry your research has been so frustrating. :(
Is it that you aren't registered on DOA? Because I thought, I may be wrong, that they had opened up registration.
Also, if there is anything in particular you are looking for maybe one of us could help you find it?

Mostly clothing patterns. I have a few, but they are all modern clothing. Looking for period styled clothing like the early to late 1800s and possibly early 1900s. Unfortunatly those are human sized. I read you can take human patterns and shrink them down, but yeah, don't have money falling out my ears.

So far I have not found any BJD doll patterns that are free and from that period. I assume you are looking for BJD Patterns? Bear in mind most of those run about $10-$20 dollars.

This is one of the reasons I wrote my pattern drafting book. I take the approach of having a base pattern that I know fits my my doll then altering the forms to make the pattern shapes I want. Move the waist line, puff up the sleeve, the shape of the skirt. I keep human pattern books so I know what the forms should be, where seams should be, and so on.

http://www.pinterest.com/ggglobal1/free-patterns-for-dolls/ There's this board on pintrest. It has a few period costumes if you scroll down. They will probably have to be adjusted to your doll's size, though.
You could also try your local library. You may be able to find a book with doll sized patterns that you could adjust to your doll's measurements without too much trouble. Good luck. :)
