I'm crocheting a (rather lumpy) sweater for Rolant. I'm using a 1mm hook with sport-weight yarn. I've already finished the body, but still need to make the sleeves.

Rediscovered my box of Doctor Who figure bits from back when I was cutomising them, I've got enough parts to put together a 5inch Spike (of Buffy fame) to hang out with my repainted 8th Doc. (The John Hart figure had previously been butchered to put together a teeny (unfinished) Richard O'Brien)

Huh it's odd that they decided to make a John Hart figure, but not an Owen figure, not that I'm complaining - the James Marsters sculpt on the Torchwood figure is miles better than any of the actual Spike figures released back in the day!

I am working on Christmas gifts - Convertible Cowls. It is long enough to pull up like a hood and still cover your neck.

I made Richi a Christmas stocking and a fireplace to hang it on.

How adorable! :D I'm making stockings for me, hubby, and roomie, and bought some for the cats, but none for the dollies this year.

I can't wait to get those stockings done so I can get back to dolly sewing.

Done! The hand-sewn stockings were hung by the chimney with care.

Jobee there really needs to be a like button!

We were busy last night. First we made paper Christmas Trees.

Then I downsized the convertible cowl pattern to fit Richi. Perle Cotton size 8 is super bulky yarn for a Micro.

SOAP!!!! I've decided to embark on a soap making project. I bought all the stuff and it's on its way. Very excited. I got a hand mixer, scale, a few containers, loads of cute molds, and of course, the oils, lye, and fragrances. I've read so many tutorials (and watched plenty on Youtube) that my head is spinning with ideas. Soap gifts for Christmas will have to be melt and pour because the lye will take too long to cure. Too bad I didn't have this idea sooner. I'm really excited about it. I might even try to make tiny doll soaps. ha! Wouldn't that be hilarious? Real soap doll soap! HAHA... even better, I could make a doll soap mold out of a BJD head. Head soap. *snicker*

Hi! I've been making my own soap for years, partly because it's a whole lot cheaper than buying it. I end up making huge batches of just plain soap (lye, veggie shortening, and water the only ingredients) and use it for dishes and laundry.

Here's an idea if you're worried about those long-term cure times: Look up crock pot hot process. That's what I do, I actually cook the soap. It cooks up in a few hours tops, I pour it in the molds, and next day it's ready to use!

... and I've also considered real soaps for my dolls, since it wouldn't be hard at all to cut a mini bar from a bit of one of the loaf molds I use.
