I'm planning on going to RN school if I can get in for fall 2014, with any luck.

Not as awesome as a new job, but I just agreed to purchase a grail doll - Luts Lishe Elf SD girl. As a bonus, she comes with an Angeltoast face-up!

1. I have 5 bulging discs between L1 and L7. The RA diagnosis has been thrown out. The MRI shows NO RA ANYWHERE. Yay! The spine is perfectly aligned. Proof of ancient sacral fractures (no surprise there), no bone spurs. The really weird thing is that nothing is pressing against the nerves...so why the nerve pain?? Medical mystery. No more physical therapy, even if it makes the nerve pain go away vs. making the lumbar region MORE painful. The myelin looks good. There IS radiculopothy, or basically, an irritated nerve. No tumors around the spine, spinal column looks good. Meh. I got a cortisone shot (the bursitis feels loads better already), muscle relaxers, real pain killers, and a Medor pack (steroids)...but it hopefully won't make me super psychotic like prednisone does. I told my doc I will take ANYTHING he gives me, as long as the pain goes away. The Vicodin was prescribed to save my liver because 1200-2800 mg of Ibuprofen a day...although for a short time, I could go as high as 3200mg a day. Use the TENS unit as often as I want. See his back doctor next week because the MRI shows no reason for pain. I am no longer worried nor stressed out and the panic attacks are much better. I see my doc in three weeks and we go from there. Oh, and NO lifting and REST! Yay! Good news, FINALLY! I missed his nurse, too. She can give shots with monster needles and it is no worse than a skeeter bite! I LOVE her!
My what big EYES you have!

So in the last week I have received TWO offers for part-time jobs. I've taken both. I am now. officially, a part-time asst. Manager for Dressbarn and a tutor for Omega Learning Center. I love that I am still doing something with education, but my other job will cover my bills!! I'm a happy and busy camper.

I took my daughter to her first fitting for her first background acting job - and they asked me to be an extra also! Which is great since, as my daughter is still a minor for the next couple of weeks, I'd be sitting on set cooling my heels all next week anyway.

Finished my first long paper of the semester! I seriously hope I have more time to work on the next one, less than two weeks seemed a little short-notice to me.

Yay! Half the time when they do kids they need parents. Now both of you keep a few changes of clothes in your trunk, like uniforms, aprons, suits, things that would make you look like a specific person in the neighborhood and if they need a baker or a soccer player you can tell them you already have the outfit. Let the casting company know if you have any specific skills as well, you never know when they need a flame swallower.

I picked up my 2006 Lishe Elf from the post office this morning and I'm over the moon in love with her! I'll post some photos in the 1/3 section later.
