Today was a gooooood day. Tiny Taavi arrived this morning and by a weird stroke of I don't even know what big(70cm) Taavi's original eyes work perfectly in tiny yosd Taavi. So that's one thing I don't have to think about any more. Then I had a seminar that went well, and spent the rest of the afternoon at Ikea. I have now assembled four new kitchen chairs, two really comfy new desk chairs, and have bought, among many other things, a doll living room set that's the perfect scale for new tiny Taavi. I'm on my second hard cider, the dog is not freaking out at having the new roommate around assembling his own new furniture, and life is just really good.

Well I'm imagining the Doctor running around and swearing at daleks! Got to admit I really didn't think it would be him, because he's too much of a name actor! He's been no. 1 in the list for about a week now though. (Sigh; dream cast of Begbie or Vetinari/Oberos still not happening!)

Would love an episode where he's confused for John Frobisher - but given he was from Torchwood I imagine it'll be quietly brushed under the carpet! Or even a cheeky recon of the Fires of Pompeii episode - Caecilius was the Doctor going under cover!

Colin Baker was a guard or something in one of Peter Davidson's episodes so it's happened before. And who says he wasn't pretending to be John Forbisher or something? I want to say lampshading is the proper trope.

Yeah and Romana explicitly copied Princess Astra's body when she regenerated, and Troughton should have had a choice, but rejected all of the options! Teehee!

Well when you consider that J.Frobisher killed both his wife and kids and himself to try to save them all from a fate worse than death I doubt he'll get a mention, but I'd be happy to be proved wrong!

(Actually I'm relieved it isn't a woman - can you imagine Moffat writing that well? After what he did to River Song, and Amy, and Clara? Molly Hooper? And even Irene Adler So many of his female characters of late have been rather 2-dimensional male fantasies...)

I'm an occasional Whovian, my Doctor is 8, just saw The End of Time for the first time today with the special. I have 1 adventure of each Doctor so I can get an idea for what to have the dolls do. It was fun to watch the special and have a truly live world wide thing. I've never seen anything this new Doctor has done so I have a bunch of new stuff to discover.

There's a good rejoice, TV was fun again, haven't had that since I followed Smallville.
