Now that they know she has a clotting issue they will hopefully address that. She may well be on blood thinners for life....but if not, she would probably benefit from low-dose aspirin therapy (and the doctor may recommend just that). Aspirin is a proven blood thinner, which is why they tell you to go off it for a week when you are going to have surgery. If her walking problems start again she needs to go back to the doctor, and this time forcefully remind them of the clotting problem.

She'll be on blood thinner tablets for six months. We'll see how it goes during these six months and after that. I'm so happy we now know what the cause of her problems is...

Rejoice 1 - I am officially non-employed! I say non- instead of un- because it was by choice and because circumstances make it possible. My plan to take courses for a certificate in grant writing is still on hold, though because of Rejoice 2.

Rejoice 2 - The probate judge not only removed the previous lawyer as temporary administrator for my ex-husband's and made me the temp pending approval procedures to make me the permanent one, she soundly put the woman in her place. Let's just say it was an interesting 2 1/2 hours in court. Now I start what, for the next 3-4 months at least, will be a full time job in and of itself!

Rejoice 3 - My daughter has bought her first "real" BJD - a DollZone Annie from JunkySpot.

I successfully removed a Barbie head for the first time! The body and the head are both in decent condition (for a yard sale find). Now to figure out which head I want to stick on this jointed body... maybe one of the dollar store ones...

Now if this house the new relator showed us passes inspection, and outside of possibly needing a new water heater, that the seller says is a possibility and would fix, we have a house. The dolls would have their own room and it comes with a peach tree.
