My dog was abused and he was very scared of men but after awhile he relaxed...I think you should and maybe being in a good home will help said anxiety issues. Do some research see what ways you can help him with the anxiety...I think a stable home could help him calm down too.

I am a lister. Memo is one of my favorite apps on my phone. I also keep a small leather ound notebook for notes and lists. I think I have Cordie's measurements in at least 4 places, my phone, netbook, portable hard drive and in my notebook.
I also love post it notes-some of my permanent list have post-its attached for special items. My students know if they want me to remember something later-it better be on a post it attached to their paper.

We're talking with the humane society about what specifics might set him off. For instance, loud noises spook him and we have happy little parakeets who like to chatter constantly. You can also hear a lot of street noise in our home like car doors slamming and such. Is that going to be a major issue? If no one else adopts the little sweetheart by Saturday, we're going to go back and cuddle with him for a while. Which basically means if nothing awful happens during our visit, he'll come home with us.

It could be but if he's in an area with other dogs who bark all day long then he's probably used to it. My dog isn't really scared by loud noises (besides the times my dad like a moron claps LOUDLY right behind him...) I'm not really sure about dogs with anxiety because Yugi's only real issue was he was afraid of men, that really was it...And he used to flinch whenever people touched him even if it was hugging him. That was five years ago and he's really mellowed out since.

But I found this site: http://mywoofgang.com/archive_CF_anxious.php Has a bunch of tips for helping with anxiety in dogs.

Two things -
1) I've discovered that an awful lot of Discworld fans have been headcasting Tom Hiddleston as Vetinari in parallel with each other! (And a load of others are moaning that he's the wrong age...) That made me smile

2) Since Vetinari is halfway to being shelled I've rediscovered my love for this series, and Havelock in particular... Sigh, I love the way he's slowly fleshed out from two-dimensional satirical tyrant to the three-dimensional benevolent dictator, and human being (and of course the fanfic that developed around it all

Linky: http://sam-storyteller.livejournal.com/2005/07/09/

The above is some of my favourite, though it does clash slightly with the more recent PTerry developments, I have fond memories of Vetinari as a permanently drunk pirate a la Jack Sparrow too but I've no idea where to begin looking for it!)

Actually talking of Discworld - I found the Ankh-Morpork board game last year, it's become the most played board game I own, and several friends of mine ended up buying their own copies! It's brilliant, like actively malevolent Monopoly, but actually fun, with fewer arguments and a decent end point so it doesn't get boring
Crazy Mulitverse Crew: Drax, Jareth, Jerome, Elrana Milenkova, The Thin White Duke, Vasily Lupandin, Ramin Aiphos, Theta Sigma, Aiko Koyame, Lord Havelock Vetinari, Dr Nicholas Rush, Anon., Nyta Kinall, Otto Kreiner, That Demon, Sasu, Yaya, Ombre
...reshelling Szesil Markowski and Garan Idasson

We can only guess what happened to our dogs before we got them. Basically we were just our usual selves around them and let them adapt. Milky doesn't like blankets put over her head and you have to read her body language if she wants to be chased or not but otherwise they've caught on. Just have a feeding and walking schedule and watch the body language. It also helps to treat the dog when it does something you want it to do.

I must be feeling better, I'm thinking doll thoughts like the Wiggle needs a bigger bum to hold his (thigh) balls. And visions of L and T shaped cuts dance in my head so he can do his side kicking dance.
*Derp, stick the balls on the thighs and turn them out to kick to the side.
