I finished one sequined wrister and started a second while monitoring tests this week. Luckily, it is such a simple pattern i don't have to look at it. At least it kept my hands busy since we can't grade, read, use a phone or computer while monitoring.

Here's an idea for you right before you start grad school and are in the middle of a metric shit ton of family issues! Make your own Barbie scale BJD that can wear commercial Barbie clothes and shoes, while still having the looks you like in a doll!" Why not? So that's what has crawled its way onto my workdesk.

I'd like to see how you work that out. I'm still trying to engineer my Little Wiggles and they'll have their clothes modeled on them. You're going to need some tiny string channels.

Finished Omi's cosplay, and immediately started the next. Someone is not happy about the sudden LACK of attention.

I think I figured out most of my jointing issues when I did my 1/12 scale boy. The current plan is to sculpt her larger, maybe even 1/3 and then my husband is going to help me do 3D scans of them and then help me scale them down to the size(s) I really want and then print them using his new 3D printer. Of course that could turn out to be a disaster but you never know until you try and if it does work out, then it'll be awesome and I'll be able to do some really cool things.

Kiki - Omi looks great! Can't wait to see how Grell turns out!(making a guess based on the red, sorry if I'm wrong)

Distaff Doctor's chatelaine. Decided the TARDIS key would do best on a separate necklace for now. Still looking for something else than the pin but the octopus works, especially since I'm feeling an 8 vibe off of this. It's wearable and it tinkles.

More projects than I think I could sanely list. Using the Backroom Barbies as material alone, I'm working on dolls for the following charas from various RP, meant for eventual '1/6 Theater':

Lady Alya Aldrete
A Star Wars chara, originating in a tabletop scenario that I played some of the WilyWars AU charas through for fun (Long story...). The hair's fine, face needs a little minor work (holding on thinner, gesso, and brushes), need an obitsu body for (holding on money XD), and will - once I have the body - probably need an extensive wardrobe. Likely needs the least work out of the lot, as the character looks like a barbie. XD

Lieutenant Commander (later Captain) Angela Krin
Another from Star Wars Tabletop Crossovers. Needs barbie makeup partly removed and some face work. A few empty scalp holes where I carefully removed just her bangs need rerooted. Obitsu body and CSA uniform pending.

Jedi Master Denia
From Star Wars Tabletop Crossovers again. Already finished a face resculpt with a dremel to make an old lady head. Planning new hair when I have the funds, then faceup, as well as obitsu body and then jedi robes and possibly a couple other outfits as plot requires. If 1/6 Theater ever does a photocomic of Little Red Riding Hood, she's already cast to play Granny.

Several other charas as floating heads, in various stages of hair and makeup removal, then holding on the materials to do faceups, hair rooting, and sticking onto obitsu bodies. These are mostly from a Mega Man AU in origin:
Ice Man
Elec Man
Blues/Proto Man
Rock/Mega Man
Roll
Enker
Quint
Punk
Ballade
Star Man
Gemini Man (two of XD, Castor and Pollux actually had separate minds in the AU)
Kalinka Cossack
Magic Man (who actually was female in the AU)

Original charas added to the story over time:
Digit
Megan
Tangee - this one will be tricky, a bitty-bitsu orange twilek with a knockoff baby barbie head... Haven't even started except to find the doll for the head

And, lastly for now, three in-progress Black Waltzes from FF9, using the hands and neck pieces from Bedtime Barbies, and heads from some knockoffs with bad sculpts (as it won't matter when covered with black fleece). They'll have soft-sculpture bodies using pipe cleaner, yarn, and fleece. Project currently holding on me getting some good acrylic thinner and the bitty brushes I want, though I might start making the bodies and just wait to attach the hands so I can get more done there.

And there are more charas I want to do, these are just the ones that could be considered ' started' projects because I have at least one of the parts for them or some of the work done on the parts I have. Most are holding on more parts, or tools and supplies, as I'm still gathering up what I need for this.
Playscale-Obsessed Mad Scientist with more cheap vinyl dolls than I'm willing to count.

After a few more failed attempts, the vest is done on the Grell cosplay.

I'm still working on my MSD dollhouse although I may change the concept a bit and start all over. Not sure yet. I wanted a full house but perhaps it's a bit too much. If I have a kitchen and a bedroom, I'm happy.

I found this awesome idea on Flickr yesterday of a little shelf turned into a bed:

And now I've got my mind set on creating something similar. I have found the most awesome little cabinet things ever on Marktplaats, a Dutch online flea market/garage sale, but I need to check if the sizes are okay. I can't wait to work on such a cute bed for my dolls...
