Unless she's really just an awesome person, the fact that she's willing to buy it back implies to me that she knew what it was when she sold it and was just hoping to not get caught. I hope she's just an awesome person. I'm really sorry you're having to deal with this.

The worst part is that it's ruined my fun in the hobby for now. I hope it's just a one-day dip. It probably is. But I feel really low right now for some reason.

Did this happen on DOA? She shouldn't be selling ANYTHING after a recast.
I'm so sorry she ruined your fun...Just try not to think about it for now, maybe photograph your other dolls or play with your new girls.

She shouldn't be selling anything again if, and only if, she did it knowingly ... I mean, let's assume for a moment here that Evelien hadn't learned the unfortunate truth and re-sold the body at some point, not knowing it was recast, and getting a MP ban for it. She would have been ripped off AND punished unjustly for it, which is just wrong.

I'm hoping the seller takes the body back first of all. Once it's gone there's still time to figure out what else to do. I also hope that once the shock has worn off you'll be able to enjoy your beautiful girls' company again, Evelien. I'm so sorry this happened to you!

I think everything will be alright. She's going out of her way to resolve this, so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. She's borrowing money from a friend so she can pay me back the full amount and we're sharing the shipping cost. She'll also confront the person she bought it from.

I've never had a good feeling about this body so I've always been worried that I might have to resell it at some point. I had a feeling it was a recast. I've been thinking for a while now, why I thought that it was. I think it's the resin. I also have a legit Fairyland Minifee and the resin is different. The recast resin is much more smooth. Not sure if that's what gave it away, but it could be one of the reasons why I had a gut feeling.

I'm trying to look on the positive side of things. I'll have to look for a new body for Carly - it will not be a Minifee body again - so I'm gonna broaden my dollieh horizons once more . For a short time I thought of discarding Carly altogether, but then I thought, no, she's been my favourite for so long, I'm not gonna let this ruin my fun. I'm gonna give her a new face-up and a second chance.

If I get my money soon, there may be a very happy twist. I may be able to get TWO beautiful MSD bodies from someone in Europe for just a tiny little more than I'm getting refunded. That means a new body for Carly plus finally a double-jointed body for Ellie. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hard.
