Budgies are great. We used to let them out in the morning so they could fly around the house all day. A couple of them got so friendly they would fly down on to your shoulder to see what you were doing. Just keep them away from the loo.

We certainly don't need huge flocks of soiled budgies flying around infringing on people's personal freedoms...

I will be finished with the Deadwood reroot today and by being patient for one more month I am getting all the holiday dolls I wanted practically for what I would have paid for one :) Who's keeping the post office up and running? I am!

Managed to snag an MH Jinafire at Walmart today!
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

My sister once kept parakeets. My cat at them. We didn't keep birds after that.

I used to have an umbrella cockatoo whose name was Roux (yeah I know, it doesn't make sense, but it worked for her). I loved her dearly and she was a wonderful, destructive two year old child for 10 years. Then about the same time I had my daughter, she became fertile and then all hell broke loose ... sigh. We ended up giving her (free!!!) to a stranger our vet recommended. It was that or find a new home for my daughter, because Roux wasn't going to allow another 2 year old in the house.

I would so love to have a bird again. But I'm afraid my dog would eat it!

I grew up with parakeets but the last one my family had died ten years ago. He was a little trouble maker. My mom refused to cage the birds so they just had free reign of the downstairs. He liked to fly down and tease the dogs. Husband and I had been at a pet store picking up something for the turtle tank and then we came home with birds. Unfortuantly one of the original pair we got last weekend did not make it the first 24 hours. Poor little Andy just wasn't well. But we picked up a hyperactive little green girl we're calling Mina to keep Jackson company. I'm amazed at how fast they're socializing. We've got them doing things in a week that should have taken like a month of careful handling. Sometime I'll post a clip of them being happily spastic. It's adorable.

Instead of buying a doll in one sitting buy parts of it one by one or make a hybrid. Saves you money. Gives you something to do. <_< >_>
I got my Raphael's head and I'm trying to be optimitic about it. I wanted the full set but can't afford it. I found a head for sale on DOA and pounced. Now I just have to buy his body and those clothes ( I MUST have that rose outfit ) separately.

I wanted that little Raphael . . . But you know what? Spending 520$ just for something so small is rediculous when I can pay less than 200$ for Raphael. man.
