Ugh... I've run a fever for right at 11 days straight now. It wasn't that bad when I had the other flu symptoms, but I thought I was getting better 5 days ago. Here I am though, still running a 101 degree fever with a cough. Bleh.

This flu season is nothing to take lightly - go see a doctor! There have been higher than normal deaths and hospitalizations, including young people.

I've been filling in at work for the receptionist this week, and turns out I have to fill in today, tomorrow, and Friday as well. I work from 8 am to 5 pm every day, except Thursday because of a doctors appointment in the morning. That day I'm working 6 hours about. Sunday I work my regular position (janitor) as well.

I have to fill in because Brenda's dad Gale is in Ohio in a hospital awaiting a lung transplant because he only has about 10% function left in his own. It sucks. He's my number 1 fan, he used to come in every Sunday just to say hi to me when I was cleaning the office.

At least I'm making money, right? I shouldn't complain about working so much, but a 42 hour week is still a long week (not including the cleaning). I have two commissions with me at the moment that need to be worked on.

Blew a tire out at the school, ended up stranded in the ceramics lab with a cranky 4-year-old, draining the savings account to pay for tires, and basically having a craptastic evening. At least there's a long weekend coming up.

I feel your pain. I'm the same way, and it's frustrating. Unfortunately for the person that finally makes me react, I bite. In other words, I overreact to the problem, but the emotion behind it has been building.

My suck: The illness that everyone is getting and keeping for a month or so has been going around between my mother and her husband. I had been lucky in the fact that I have remained relatively healthy during this whole ordeal. However, I went back to college, and two days into it, I get sick. I know that it's because I was stressed, and that tends to lower my immune system terribly. Now, I feel blah.

Thanks, glad to know I'm not the only one! My friends are all very aware that they shouldn't try to rile my up as a result of this! - I finally got up the nerve to ask about it last night or more correctly at 2am this morning... I didn't have to even say anything! She knew she was being loud... She was immediately apologetic!

But urgh why am I awake! Damn lab training that's a damned legal requirement that should have been done before the new year but my supervisor kept forgetting so now I have to do it in the revision period... sllleeeep braaaaaiiiinnnssss...

And I have NO IDEA why that always means I can't sleep very much or very well for just about the whole week. (Something to do with hormones, I'm sure... I just don't know why they have that specific effect...) It also always causes me to have writer's block for some odd reason - not that I noticed that this time, seeing as how I haven't been writing much of anything lately anyway.
