Will now take any and all suggestions to get the light to moderate smoke smell out. Seats are cloth.

When the papers arrive it'll go to the mechanic. Old one had to have the passenger door fixed because you couldn't open it from the outside, this one has that problem with the driver's. But this one comes with a tow package. It's only for a red ryder wagon but still... :P

I'd suggest you try some Fabreeze spray on the cloth parts and some Armor All on the plastics to get the smell out.

Baking soda and vacuum for the cloth? And then peppermint oil?

If it's feasible, shampoo the seats and floorboards. It will help with the smell, and remove residual smoke/nicotine residue. Dish soap should help with cleaning hard surfaces and removing the reside.

Has anyone had any experience with the Armor All fogger (bug bomb) smell reducers?

My DH is a former mechanic/shop manager and he said it's good stuff. If you are spraying, make sure it get up under the dash and into the vents, in glove and any other boxes.

That's what the lads used to get the smell out of the car after Larry left the sun roof open during a rainstorm then closed it up and let a nice crop of mold grow in there.

Cool beans, next one of us who gets a ride to a box store will look into one and a bottle of their upholstery cleaner in a matching scent. These seats are cloth, the previous one was leather. It's not as bad as it could be but you can tell it was smoked in. When we get some nice weather we plan to air it out too.

The weirdest thing is some of it looks exactly like the previous one and other things are a different shape or color like it's a Twilight Zone version or something. They're only 1 model year apart.

That made me snort. I can't imagine Larry being a neglectful car parent. hehe

Too bad you couldn't just switch the seats.
