Halloween was a huge success this year! Kiddo wanted to be Peter Pan, so I went as Wendy and we got a bunch of compliments, but of course I spaced taking any pictures. The grands are going to be very unhappy. It even stopped raining the entire time we were out, which is kind of amazing where we live.
I had a good time too. No kids, so I hung out with my family, dressed in costume, ate sugar-free candy, and watched Shaun of the Dead! My favorite "scary" movie.
Had fun going around stores and dinner out at Red Lobster for Halloween. ^^
We cosplayed as Elsa and Anna from Frozen, and everyone wanted to take photos with us! So many children followed us around Jo-Ann's (Fabric Store) to get a photo. ^^;; It was crazy (our mom, who is REALLY camera shy, pretended she wasn't with us. ) I was a bit out of my depth (really shy and introverted in person) but my sister was lapping it up, chatting easily with the parents, hugging the children, and singing 'Let It Go' (which she actually detests) with the kids (and adults who wanted photos, too!). I was a tad mortified by her boldness, but it was really fun in the end, and we had a wonderful time!
Here are some photos we took at the restaurant and then back at home (where we watched 'Frozen' one more time before Halloween was over and we got out of costume.):
Aww, thanks so much, min'na-sama!! You're so kind to us to say so!! We really did have a ball and I'd like to wear the costumes again but not sure where!! ^^ :laughs:
Maybe on my birthday this upcoming week, I'll just wear it for fun one last time before I put them in our cosplay closet! (Never to see the light of day again! :laughs: That's what seems to happen to all our costumes---they're 'one-time-wonders.')
Thanks again!!!!!
PS Trethowan-san, you look great and your little one looks MORE than adorable!!! WOW!! The cutest baby Dinosaur EVER!!!!!! And KenaiQueen-san----I LOVE your outfit!!! So gorgeous and you wear it perfectly!!! NICE!!!!
