I haven't been on the boards in a while.... because my fiance was visiting!

He owns property in one state (where we both used to live) and I had to move to a different state for a job. So getting to see each other is not a frequent thing. The visit was great!

My internet time suffered, but yay, visit!

http://technorati.com/lifestyle/article ... stroy-fat/

A peer-reviewed clinical study sent to me by my PhD research biologist friend shows that drinking vinegar with no other lifestyle changes will reduce body fat. Even the internal stuff.

Looking at the study, I'm not exactly impressed with the losses.
The low dose group lost 2.2 to 3.1 lbs. in 12 weeks and 4 weeks later had only maintained loss of 0.9 lbs.
The high dose group lost 3.5 - 5 lbs. in 12 weeks and 4 weeks later had only maintained loss 0.2 - 1.7 lbs.
Anyway, I don't subscribe to the fantasy of being thin.

Never mind the aesthetics of being slim, the health benefits of not being obese are well documented.

After much frustration, disappointment, and many doctor's visits... my sister is pregnant!!!! With TWINS!!!!! She and my bro-in-law surprised us at the Thanksgiving gathering with early Christmas gifts... cards that on the front read "Is it a girl? Or a boy? Or both?" then inside were sonogram pics of Baby A and Baby B. ^____^ Too early to know gender but I'm really excited. And I can't wait to run out to JoAnn's this weekend and get blanket fabric. ^__________^

Considering that it has taken me a year to lose 10 lbs and keep them off, a loss of 3.5 lbs in 12 weeks looks pretty good.

I have plantar fascia because I am too heavy. I am at risk for diabetes because I am too heavy. I have back problems because I am too heavy.

I'll take all the help I can get.

Thanks Susan, Dennis pointed out one other thing, and that is the post-study 4 week period shows you have to keep drinking the vinegar in order to maintain or continue to lose.

The other big thing really is that vinegar seems to kill the blood-sugar spike that follows a meal with carbs in it. That's HUGE for anyone with metabolic syndrome or diabetes. There are drugs that do this, but it is at a cost of horrendous side effects.

I sold a doll so now I have enough money to buy my dream MSD doll - probably a MNF elf girl. Sooooo happy!
