There's already a foot of snow outside, and another foot is expected to fall. >_<

I HATE winter. Funny how being an adult sucks all the joy out of it. I wanna go back to when I was a kid and days like this were like Christmas all over again.

People are talking about lighter-guns a few pages back. I collect lighters and am simultaneously ashamed and yet find it hilarious that I own:

A lighter where you flip the lid and a pair of boobies light up.

And the ultimate prize: A gun lighter that ends in a phallus. Which was a gift from my MOTHER.

Snigger they both sound amazing (and yes I am that childish that I find merely the idea of both utterly hilarious too!)

Haha, yes, a fan of weird lighters!! XD, the gun/phallus one is truly a sight to behold, especially since the fire comes out of...well, where you would expect it to on a phallus tipped lighter!! It's just amazingly fun for a good chuckle.

So I went out to pick up Chinese take-out last night. In an ice storm. In a small sedan with front wheel drive.

I almost got stuck on a hill. It was actually pretty amusing. And because I have the sense that God gave little green apples, while I was not smart enough to realize that if the Chinese place was not willing to send their delivery person out in that weather, then I probably shouldn't have gone out in it, either, I WAS able to figure out how to get un-stuck. It did involve very scarily letting my car roll backwards down the hill and praying I did not hit a patch of ice when I put my foot back on the brake, thus causing me to slide into the blind intersection behind me.

Haha, here the Chinese place I order from will literally send their deliverymen out in a blizzard to give you your garlic beef. I feel a little bad when it's like HELLSTORM outside and we ring up the Chinese place and they're all "No problem, no problem, we be there in half hour." And then ten minutes later a soaking wet, freezing deliveryman is at our door with piping hot food. They definitely get hefty tips on those nights.

A couple years back my family was on our way home of Chicago. (After a flat tire on the expressway.) It was storming so bad you could just barely see the car that was a yard in front of you. We were in a huge van because there was 6 of us. My dad got the balls to pass the line of slow moving cars because he know we were close to an exit. It had a hotel and we got the rooms cheap because the staff realized that even more people would be coming. We ordered a pizza and the poor delivery man just barely made it the block. (The next morning we got another flat tire and the closest store was a Lion Den, but that's a different story.)
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

They actually closed the plant for two days in a row due to the snow. On one hand, yay no work. On the other hand, boo no paycheck. ^^; My budget for this month is completely shot at this point; even working overtime, I'll barely break even. I should have agreed to work both weekend nights when they called and asked, but at that point I wasn't sure I'd even have my car dug out. It is, now, but it took awhile, what with the snow plow piling about three feet of it behind the car while digging out the parking lot.

I'm hoping this is the last of the snow for the year. I REALLY want this winter to be over. The local news, Channel 8, actually had to go off the air because part of the roof collapsed and the entire building had to be evacuated. O_o Can't say I've ever heard of that happening before!

Our channel 5 news station had ice falling onto cars in the parking lot. So one of the camera guys went out on the porch to see if he could capture any on tape and managed to film an icicle the size of an arm crash down right in front of him!

I hate it when the State requires mandatory testing so that I can fill out mandatory paperwork that i do not want to do and hires a company to do it on line who doesn't have enough servers to do it. (In 10 minutes I will have spent 1 hour and have been only able to answer 1 question.) 45 minutes so far waiting on screens to load- listening to the video and answering the qustion took 5 minutes.
