We get so little snow down here there isn't much point in doing more than spreading a little salt around.

My sister told me about the delivery on 285. That would be scary to get stuck like that! I'm really hoping for my epidural. heh

I want snow. T_T It rained today and while I'm glad for the rain I wish it was snow. Hopefully it snowed in the mountains. We really need it after such a dry January.

I'll do you one better. There are more stories and they are all collected in a single book.

Reposted form somewhere on the internet.

THE SHOEBOX ~
A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years. They had shared everything and kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about.

For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said she would not recover.

In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took down the shoe box and took it to his wife's bedside. She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the box. When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totalling $95,000.

He asked her about the contents.
'When we were to be married,' she said, ' my grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll.'

The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears. Only two Precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with him two Times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst with Happiness.

'Honey,' he said, 'that explains the doll, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?'

'Oh,' she said, 'that's the money I made from selling the dolls.'

XD aww. That story is a mix of sad funny and awesome.
So the rain did eventually turn into a sort of sleeting snow. Luckily it didn't freeze last night so still just slushy. So happy to be getting a few storms to clean the air.

[/delurks] Bleh.... Work's been hectic, got promoted to full-time, working crazy shifts (close one night only to open the next morning), and now I never feel like I have time to post anywhere or do much of anything with my dolliehs... I'm still here, just haven't got around to doing anything on the board. I haven't forgoten about the pics I promised, and I have both Saturday and Sunday off this week, so hopefully, provided nothing comes up with work or my family, I'll have time to sit down and be active again. :) [goes back to lurker mode]

Those ladies have some bitching costumes. Also nice double side to an issue.

Edit: Pet peeve would be a better word.

I thought it was a great satire on what should be a non-issue. Nothing stops me from cosplay (except a big pregger belly.) That did get in the way a bit...
